In a lively, energetic atmosphere, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Muslim Scout – Baalbek Troop organized a special scouting activity for the students of Al-Shorouk School in Baalbek, celebrating the start of the new academic year.
The day opened with an energizing Drums segment led by Leader Anas and Leader Reem, sparking excitement and lifting students’ morale from the very first minutes.
The program began with a series of scouting and recreational activities supervised by a team of troop leaders, with active participation from the school’s teaching staff. The day started with the morning lineup and a detailed introduction to the Scouting movement and its leaders, led by Leader Mustafa, followed by the Scout clap that filled the students with enthusiasm and excitement.
The program included enriching educational segments designed to introduce students to basic scouting skills. Leader Shaimaa gave a detailed explanation of the Scout uniform and its significance, followed by a hands-on training session where participants learned how to tie the “neckerchief knot.” Leader Mustafa then taught the students different types of scouting knots, demonstrating their practical uses to strengthen their self-reliance skills.
Since fun is an essential part of the scouting experience, the day also featured many competitive and entertaining activities. Leader Nazeer fueled the students’ excitement with a lively game of tug-of-war that encouraged teamwork, while various Scout chants throughout the day kept the participants’ spirits high.
The day concluded with the “Fire Activity,” supervised by Leader Reem. Students learned how to collect firewood and safely prepare a campfire, accompanied by an awareness session on fire safety. The joy continued as everyone gathered around the fire to roast marshmallows, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere filled with camaraderie and excitement.
At the end of this eventful day, participation certificates were distributed to all students and school staff in recognition of their effort and enthusiasm. It was a truly successful day that left a positive mark on everyone and strengthened the values of teamwork, adventure, and friendship.
